EXERCISE THE PRIVILEGE

Life in a way is a continuum, its millions and billions of living energies work together interdependently; in mutual dependence to maintain cosmic equilibrium. Without equilibrium the cosmos will cease to exist. Disequilibrium causes annihilation.

In essence, attributes and manifestations, life is awesome, formidable, wonderous, never fails to intrigue, surprise, inspire and puzzle.   Always summoning us to partake in by exercising the privilege of living.  Herein comes the privilege of the instant.  It’s your call to shake off your slumber, cast away your resignation, shake off your apathy and let go your distraction.  Begin; partake of; sample.

Actually the privilege of the instant is awareness of the instant, is living the instant, is the essence of the presence.  It is a call to the ear of the mind to perceive and be aware of what the auditory apparatus brings in.  For the eye of the mind to see what the eye transmits, scan,  and to decipher and make note.  Same
goes for touch, smell and taste.  Our five senses are our antennas.  Broadcast never stops.

Awakening, and awareness of the privilege of the instant does not imply nervousness, rush or obsession with time and space and events.  At birth each is  endured with his/her ‘Bag of Tools’ to navigate and steer the path of life, the stretch assigned to each from birth to death.  Each had a term limit.  Our mortality is the ultimate proof of our imperfection.  And thank God for that.  Our imperfection stimulates and fuels wandering and wondering, trying, and retrying,
revising, venturing and daring.  In many ways, the gift of life is a shapeless mass of clay.  You are the artist, the sculpturer, shape it the way you see, the way you need, the way you want.  It’s your creation.  But remember, you can only create from what is already created.   We are not omnipotent, our abilities have limits,  but, their range is wide and far.

The privilege of the instant is to move on, get with it.  Go for your daily morning exercise be it hiking in the park, swimming or going to the gym.  It is in looking in the mirror every morning and wishing yourself a happy birthday.  It is in falling in love with what you are doing; be it work, or play.  And, there is no better prescription for realizing your freedom, than be in the present exercising your privilege and being one with what you are doing.

The privilege of the instant is a call to connect with your talents, with others, with the needs of the needy.  A call to travel and explore the land, the seas, countries, other civilizations and, most importantly to explore yourself and take the most essential and the most difficult journey of all:  Self-
knowing.  In self-knowing, you get to know life’s formulas, schemes, good tidings and variable weather conditions; the chill and the thaw.

Just remember in its dynamic force and unlimited energy, life is calling:  Join in, savor and cherish every moment.  Don’t get disheartened by defeat,  anxiety, stress, periods of depression, sorrow, worries about your own mortality and the mortality of others, disease and handicaps that may afflict.  We are all prone to those, including making fortunes and losing fortunes.   All happen, not infrequently.  It is up to you to exercise your privilege and learn from these situations and get out of them through right seeing, good work, optimism, hope and renewed energy.

As a human you have many, many, - dare say almost unlimited – options.  It needs guts, passion and wakefulness to realize what is landing at our door.  Go for it.

And we will meet again, where our hearts will dialogue, confide and connect.
